(Kennewick, WA) -- Firefighters responded to a fire burning at Double Dragon on Clearwater Ave in Kennewick Tuesday morning. The crew arrived around 3:30am and found flames in the kitchen and a roof vent. They were able to extinguish the blaze in about 10 minutes, but the business did not have a fire suppression sprinkler system, or a fire detection system; the call actually came in from some individuals who happened to be in the area, and noticed fire coming from the vent in the roof. The cause of the incident is currently under investigation.

Responders would like to stress that fire detection/suppression equipment and early notification are key in mitigating the damage done by fires.
