A driver is lucky to have escaped after a road washed out taking the car with it in Lind.

Adams County Deputies say the driver was heading down Lind Warden Rd. when he dropped 15ft and his car was quickly submerged. The driver was able to free himself and escape before his car was swept up by the water runoff. He then climbed out of the washed out section and stayed on the east side of the wash out. The driver then flagged over other vehicles to warn them about the hazard, likely wavering others from injury and loss.

Deputies say that portion of road is now closed off from Lind Warden Hwy at Roxboro Rd on the west side of the wash and at Hwy 21 on the east side of the wash.
