Domestic Violence Murder in Selah

One woman in jail after an alleged assault results in a man's death.

Yakima County Sheriff's were called to the 500 block of Irene Ln near Selah for a report of a woman who shot her boyfriend after she says he was attacking her.

Deputies arrived and observed a deceased male laying on the floor with an apparent gunshot wound to his chest. The woman said she was fighting with the man and he attacked her and admitted to shooting him. The woman was arrested and brought to the sheriff's office for questioning before being booked into the Yakima County jail for charges of Murder in the 2nd degree – domestic violence and manslaughter in the 1st degree.
