Deputies say driver could be charged with DUI following two-car crash
Deputies say a driver is suspected of being intoxicated when he caused a two car crash.
Adams County Sheriff's department says a 1968 Shelby pulled out of the airport driveway to head west on Bench Rd. Thursday morning and failed to see a pickup truck. Both drivers went off the road to avoid hitting each other. The Shelby went into a ditch and the pickup truck hit a power pole.
Both drivers were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the Shelby was cited for failing to yield the right of way to oncoming traffic, the driver is also suspected of being intoxicated and a search warrant for the collection of blood was served and toxicology results are pending.
