There is a few ways to beat the heat this weekend, several water features and pools will open just for the weekend.

Kennewick will be opening all four splash pads Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Those water features are located at the Highlands Grange Park, Columbia Park, Underwood Park and the Prosser Aquatic Center. The free water features will remain open through the summer. The pool is not set to open until June 17th.

Walla Walla is celebrating the opening of its new pool Friday with a celebration at 4 p.m. The pool will also be open on Saturday with free admission from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Those open swim hours will remain in place from May 26th to June 18th and then from June 19th to September 4th the open swim will be from noon-6:30 p.m.

Prosser Aquatic Center is letting anyone in Friday through Monday with the donation of a non-perishable food item. The pool is opening early so the new staff can train. The pool will officially open June 14th at 4:00 p.m. The dates and times this weekend are as follows, Friday, May 26th (4:00 pm - 8:00 pm) Saturday, May 27th (12:30 pm - 8:00 pm) Sunday, May 28th (12:30 pm - 8:00 pm) Monday, May 29th (12:30 pm - 5:00 pm).

Richland and Pasco pools will also remain closed until June.
