18-Year-Old Shot and Killed in Kennewick

KENNEWICK, Wash.--An 18-year old-woman was shot and killed in the area of 7th Place and Kent Street in Kennewick early Wednesday morning. Police Officers responded to the area behind Heatherstone Apartments at around 3am. There they found Alyssa Moore dead from apparent gunshot wounds.

They say the roadway in the area will be closed for several hours as the investigation continues. School bus traffic was re-routed to avoid the area. Investigators say the killer is still on the loose, but the incident appears to be a targeted event, and there is no immediate threat to the public.
