UPDATE: Arrest Made After 16-Year-Old Shot in Kennewick

UPDATE: Kennewick Police report a 16-year-old male suspect has been taken into custody this afternoon in connection with the shooting of the 16-year-old male victim. Both apparently knew each other and police are stressing this was not a random event. The suspect faces felony 2nd Degree Assault.

(Kennewick, WA) -- Kennewick Police are investigating after a 16-year-old male was shot Tuesday night, outside a home in the 400 Block of South Conway Place. This happened around 7:30pm, and while details of the incident were not released, police did say the victim was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. There is no suspect in custody, but authorities believe the victim knew the suspect and don't consider this a random event. There is no threat to the public.
