When it comes to the best places in the state of Washington to raise a family, West Richland tops every other city in the Evergreen State.

Wallet Hub took at look at several factors in coming up with its ranking system, including Family Life and Fun, Education, Health and Safety, and Affordability.

After compiling all the numbers, they ranked West Richland number one in the state.

The survey notes that Washingtonians earn the 9th highest per capital personal income, in the United States, and noted the abundance for outdoor recreational opportunities as a plus for affordable family fun.

Among other cities in the Mid-Columbia Basin, Richland fared well at number five, followed by Kennewick at 38, Pasco ranked 43rd, and Walla Walla came in at 57th.
