Washington state is hitting a sweltering new milestone. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration said this week that Washington state all had its hottest July on record last month. California, Nevada and Oregon also experience their hottest July ever last month. The news comes as the western region deals with wildfires and drought. It was also hot for the nation as a whole, with an average temperature of 75-point-five degrees. That makes July 2021 the 13th warmest on record.
