WA COVID-19 “death toll” could be over-inflated by 13%, says Freedom Foundation

PASCO, Wash-The group "Freedom Foundation" says analysis it has conducted on the COVID-19 data in Washington State, points to an over-reporting of Coronavirus deaths by as much 13%.

"Every person who has tested positive for COVID-19 at some point in time, and then subsequently dies, is counted in the state's total as a death caused by COVID-19", says Max Nelson with the Freedom Foundation.

Nelson adds that in some cases, the only reason a death was listed as being from the virus was that the person previously tested positive, but nothing on the death certificate indicated that was the cause of death.

Colorado's Governor adjusted that state's COVID-19 death toll over the weekend, LOWERING the number after investigations showed some people were counted, simply because they previously tested positive for the virus.
