A three-alarm, 40-acre brushfire is underway near Hwy 97 in Orondo. Level 2 evacuations in place. Air support has been summoned, but otherwise details are scarce at the moment.

Firefighters from Orondo arrived at about 6:30 pm Friday to find a wildfire on the hillside above the park burning in grass, sage and poplar trees.
