Soldier Killed During Training Incident in Yakima

(Yakima, WA) -- One soldier was killed and two are injured following an incident during a training exercise on Friday at the Yakima Training Center. Twenty-year-old Army Private First Class Joseph Marquez, from Delaware, was a member of the Two-Two Stryker Brigade Combat Team at Joint Base Lewis-McChord. A statement from the base says they were involved in a single-vehicle incident. The two injured soldiers were treated at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital and released. The cause of the incident remains under investigation.
