Second Bill to Limit WA Governor Emergency Powers Set for Monday Hearing
UPDATE: Another bill being heard in the state house would also limit a Washington governor's emergency powers. The second hearing will be on Monday January 31 on HB 1772 in the House. Remote testimony sign in for both bills is available here.
(Olympia, WA) -- A bill that would, if passed, curb the emergency powers of Washington's Governor is set for a public hearing this Friday. Senate Bill 5909 is sponsored by Senate Democratic Majority Whip Emily Randall of Bremerton.
