MOSES LAKE, Wash.-- State Rep. Tom Dent from Moses Lake has confirmed that he tested positive for COVID-19.

The 13th District Republican tells iFiber One News that he tested positive on October 7th, and has experienced nearly every published symptom of the illness.

"“It’s like a really bad flu," Dent said. "My best advice, don’t get it. Take care of yourself.”

After learning he had coronavirus, Dent says he quarantined himself, which forced him to cancel candidate forums in Moses Lake on Oct. 12 and in Ellensburg on Oct. 15.

Dent says getting the virus has enlightened him, and he has seen that there are “holes” in the medical system that need to be addressed when it comes to treating coronavirus.

Dent is currently running for reelection, against Quincy Democrat Eduardo Casteneda-Diaz.
