(Tri-Cities, WA) -- A Prosser man was recently sentenced to six-and-a-half years in federal prison for his part in a conspiracy to distribute fentanyl and seven other controlled substances across Southeastern Washington. 42-year-old David Barnes Nay faced sentencing last week. He's one of five people facing serious criminal charges for a drug plot based out of Richland.

The plot involved a Benton City doctor, 63-year-old Janet Arnold, signing hundreds of blank prescription forms--enabling dealers and addicts to access prescription drugs. Records show David Nay may have been both using and distributing the illegally obtained drugs.
