The Kennewick School Board has selected Chad Foltz to fill the role of principal of the district's newest elementary school. The school, known as Elementary #16 until it is officially named, is under construction in the Clearwater Creek development. Foltz has been the principal at Cascade Elementary since 2008.

“Mr. Foltz has done great work creating a strong sense of community and culture of high performance at Cascade. We are confident he will make Elementary #16 a special place for students and staff alike,” says Greg Fancher, assistant superintendent of elementary education.

According to a press release from the Kennewick School District, Foltz started his teaching career at Horse Heaven Hills Middle School in 1995. The bulk of his years in education have been spent within the Kennewick School District. His first administrative position was as assistant principal Park Middle School starting in 2002.

“I am honored to prepare Elementary #16 for the first students, families and staff who will walk through its doors. My goal is to make this new school a place of high academic achievement the whole community can be proud of,” Foltz says.

Elementary #16 is scheduled to open in the fall of 2018.
