OTHELLO, Wash.- Othello police are searching for a man suspected of shooting another man Tuesday morning.

The victim told police he confronted a person outside his home just after 6 a.m. when the suspect pulled out a gun and fired a shot as the victim was turning away.

The victim was taken to the local hospital for the serious, but non-life-threatening wound. Police are searching for the suspect who was last seen running towards Cemetery Road from 20th Ave. They surrounded and searched the area, but did not find him.

Police describe the suspect as a man dressed in all black with a black face mask and about 5'3'' tall. Residents in the area are being asked to check any security camera systems available for recordings made around the same time for anyone coming close the description or other activity that may assist in the investigation. Citizens are asked to call 488-3314 with any information that would assist in the investigation.
