BENTON COUNTY, Wash. - A Benton County woman, along with the United Latin American Citizens and the Latin Community Fund, have filed a lawsuit against a number of counties, including Benton and Yakima, claiming Hispanic ballots are disproportionately rejected.

At issue is the state's ballot signature verification protocols.

Latino voters in Benton County were three-times more likely to have their ballots rejected, compared to Caucasian voters, and four-times more in Yakima County.
