Kennewick police find man pretending to be a cop for God

Kennewick Police say no one was in any danger after they contacted a man who witnesses said had been chasing a woman with a gun Friday.

Police say they were called to Columbia Dr. and Beech St. for reports of a 29-year old holding a orange toy gun. He was detained and patted down, that is when officers found another toy gun and a fake police ID card. Officers say they did not find any evidence of the man chasing a woman down the street.

He told police he was trying to look like a cop and was doing it for God. He was not charged with a crime but officers did talk with him about his actions and drove him home.
