Irrigon man arrested for allegedly assaulting a 2 month old infant

IRRIGON, Ore. - A 28 year old Irrigon man is the alleged assailant of a 2 month old infant. According to The Morrow County Sheriff's Office, the infant was taken to a Spokane hospital with life threatening injuries.

An investigation began and it was determined that the injuries took place in Irrigon, Oregon. Officials in Morrow County began their own investigation and found that the 28 year old man was the alleged suspect. He was arrested and booked into the Umatilla County Jail. He faces two counts of Assault in the first degree and three counts of Criminal Mistreatment in the first degree.

Total bail is $530,000. The investigation is ongoing.
