Pilot Makes Emergency Landing Near Irrigon
(Irrigon, OR) -- The pilot of a small plane made an emergency landing outside of Irrigon Thursday afternoon just before 4:00. The Morrow County Sheriff's Office says the plane was found on a gravel road in the Umatilla National Wildlife Refuge. The pilot, identified as Terrance McCall from Alabama received a high temperature warning and was forced to bring the plane down. It was safe landing, and after mechanics responded to the scene, the pilot was cleared to take off for Hermiston.
