Hermiston man killed in rollover crash

A rollover crash in Morrow County has claimed the life of a Hermiston man.

Oregon State Police responded to a report of a single-vehicle crash on Highway 207, about 9 miles south of Hermiston, where they found a Freightliner truck had rolled down an embankment.

Troopers say the truck was northbound on Highway 207 when it struck a guardrail, went off the road, and rolled.

The driver, identified as Phillip Harkey, 56, Hermiston, died at the scene.

Boardman Fire, Echo Fire, Umatilla County Fire District #1, the Morrow County Sheriff's Office, and ODOT all responded to the scene to assist OSP.
