IDAHO, OREGON - Members of a group trying to expand Idaho's borders to include a large swath of Central and eastern Oregon met with legislative leaders in the Gem State, who appeared intrigued but skeptical about a plan for "Greater Idaho."

Supporters of the idea would need to get a sign-off from the state legislatures in Idaho and Oregon, as well as the United States Congress, but rural Oregon voters are tired of having to go along with liberal urban areas west of the Cascades and would rather join Idaho.
