RICHLAND, Wash.-- Richland Police have a girl in custody as part of a stabbing investigating.

Officers were called out to the Columbia Park Apartments in the 1600 block of Jadwin Avenue for a reported disturbance.

The person who called 911 reported that a girl had a knife, and had allegedly stabbed a man in the apartment. The victim's injuries are not considered life-threatening.

The girl jumped out of a second story window and slipped through a fence before officers arrived on the scene.

Officers located the girl about 90 minutes later in a field north of the apartment complex at McMurray and Jadwin. She was taken into custody without incident.

Investigators say the girl could face charges for Second Degree Assault, but the incident is still under investigation.
