Freeman High School Shooter Pleads Guilty to Charges
(Spokane, WA) -- The teenager responsible for the deadly Freeman High School shooting in Eastern Washington in 2017 is pleading guilty to murder and attempted murder charges. Caleb Sharpe admitted in court Thursday that he opened fire killing one student and wounding three others.
Sharpe's case has been drawn out for several years after a judge ruled he would be tried as an adult and denied a motion by his legal team to present an insanity defense. He's now facing a life sentence at a hearing to be scheduled later this month.
