WALLA WALLA, Wash.- Firefighters in Walla Walla were called to the house just before 6:20 AM on Wednesday March 10, 2021. They arrived to find the kitchen on fire.

All residents had left the house – except for the family’s pet cat. Firefighters entered the house to put out the fire and make sure no one was inside. While searching the house, they found the unconscious cat. They brought the cat outside, and Firefighter MacDonald started giving oxygen to the cat to revive it. After this, the cat became alert and the kids started jumping up and down with excitement, according to Firefighter MacDonald.

Walla Walla’s Fire Department says that an electrical problem started the fire, and estimate damages to be around $60,000.
