Deadly Crash On Kennewick Street

(Kennewick, WA) -- Authorities rushed to the scene of a two-vehicle crash on S. Ely Street near West 31st Ave Monday night. Both Kennewick Police and Fire responded just before 7:30pm and found that 25 year old Angel Mendoza of Kennewick lost control of his 2021 Mercedes Benz while traveling southbound on Ely Street. The Mercedes crossed into the northbound lane of Ely, striking a 2010 Jeep Wrangler. Mendoza died at the scene. Two inside the Jeep were taken to a local hospital for serious injuries. Both are expected to recover. Speed has been determined to be a significant factor.
