PASCO, Wash.-- A GoFundMe Account has raised close to $9,000 to support the recovery of a Pasco Police Officer's wife who lost her arm in an ATV crash over the weekend.

According to Sgt. Rigo Pruneda with the Pasco Police Department, Mirza Michel, along with her husband, Pasco Police Officer Alejandro, and their two children, were on vacation in McCall, Idaho when the ATV she was riding crashed, crushing her arm.

Mirza was flown to a hospital in Boise, but doctors were unable to save her arm.

Additional surgery is scheduled for Monday, and Alejandro and the children will remain in Idaho until Mirza is released.

According to her facebook page, Mirza is a sonographer at Kadlec Medical Center in Richland, and both she and her husband will not be able to work for an extended period of time.

Pruneda said the Pasco Police Department will help the family in whatever way it can.
