TRI-CITIES, Wash. - A Pasco family is selling purple asparagus right now and into the upcoming week to raise money for the Alzheimer's Association.

Larsen Farms will be selling the asparagus in front of Fieldstone Grandridge, 7255 W Grandridge Blvd in Kennewick from 11 am to 3 pm. It's only $3 per pound, with a minimum purchase of 5 pounds. Purple is the color for Alzheimer's awareness, that's why they sell purple asparagus.

The Larsen family started fundraising for the Alzheimer's Association three years ago because they lost both their parents to the disease. Last year they raised over $34,000 and were one of the top fundraisers in the U.S. for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s.
