A school bus with five kids aboard got hit by an SUV at an intersection in Selah, but no major injuries were reported.

Yakima County Sheriff's Office says Friday morning around 9:00 a.m. the bus driver entered the intersection near Hoffman Rd. but failed to see the SUV coming which caused the crash. The bus was force off the road into a field, the SUV stopped in the intersection.

Deputies say the five students on the Selah School District bus, three girls and two boys, were taken to a hospital as a precaution, but only one of the girls complained of neck pain. Neither the bus driver or the 16-year-old SUV driver complained of injuries.

The Sheriff's office says no intoxicants were involved and the bus driver was cited for failing to yield. Both vehicles had very heavy damage and were towed from the scene.
