YAKIMA COUNTY, Wash. — The Yakama Nation has announced that its reverting back to the second phase of it COVID-19 Reopening Safety Plan. All residents of the Yakama Reservations are asked to reduce gatherings and limit movement outside the reservations to essential travel only. The restrictions apply to all residents on the reservation.

Yakama Nation leadership is also advising longhouses and churches to delay spiritual ceremonies besides funerals while in Phase 2. All Yakama Nation public health and safety workers will continue to work full-time at their stations for the duration of the closure, and the government offices will be by appointment only.
