Woman sought in Kennewick stabbing

KENNEWICK, Wash.-- Police in Kennewick are looking for a woman in connection with a stabbing that left another woman with serious injuries.

Officers responded to 5 N. Tweedt Pl. at about 9:30pm Thursday, where they found a 24-year old woman suffering from several stab wounds.

The officers provided emergency first aid to the victim until paramedics arrived on the scene.

The female suspect, who is known to the victim, fled the scene before officers arrived.

The victim was taken to a local to hospital to be treated for her injuries. Investigators say the injuries are not life-threatening.

Police say the victim was targeted in the attack and there is no threat to the public. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact non-emergency dispatch at 509-628-0333.
