Two arrested in connection with lawn mower theft
Two people sit behind bars after a $5,500 law mower was stolen.
Grant County deputies the owner of the zero-turn John Deere mower suspected a 42-year-old who lived near Quincy.
Deputies served out a search warrant Monday near State Route 281 North. They found mower tracks in the lawn and the lawn mower hidden under a camouflage cover.
Daniel Amaya was arrested for being involved in the theft, as well as, an outstanding warrant for third degree theft and an outstanding warrant for possession of meth.
A woman also home at the time but was combative with officers and faces charges after resisting arrest, third degree assault, possession of meth and obstructing a law enforcement officer.
