KENNEWICK, Wash.-- An 18-year old man is being treated for gunshot wounds after Kennewick Police say he was shot several times during a robbery Friday evening.

The teen arrived at the stand-alone Kadlec Emergency Room on 19th Ave. shortly before 5:00 p.m., suffering from several non-life-threatening gunshot wounds to his legs.

According to a press release from Kennewick Police, the victim told investigators that he had arranged to meet with a juvenile that he knows, someone who police say they're familiar with, to sell some property at a predetermined location.

The acquaintance, along with another male not known to the victim, arrived at the location and got into the victim's car, demanding property at gunpoint.

The victim refused to hand over the items, and the suspects got out of the vehicle, fired several shots at the victim through the open driver door window, striking the victim.

The suspects then reportedly took the property and fled.

Investigators say they know the name of the juvenile suspect, and have probable cause to arrest him on charges of Robbery 1st degree and Assault 1st degree.

The identity of the second suspect is not currently known.

Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact Kennewick Police at 509-628-0333, and refer to case 21-01006
