A stolen car has been returned to its owner, after police say the woman returned to the scene of the original crime to do some more stealing.

Kennewick police say Loss Prevention Officers at Fred Meyer in Kennewick led them to 22-year-old Crystal Hale, who is suspected of shoplifting. Officers say she returned to Fred Meyers Thursday night and was caught shoplifting.

Hale was booked for auto theft and her car was seized for a search warrant. She had a dog in her car and it is now home with someone who will care for it. Officers also say Hale was parked in a handicap spot and no one in the car was legal to park there.

Police say Hale picked up the keys to a woman's car after she had accidentally dropped them without noticing Wednesday. The stolen car was found in Benton County after the arrest and was returned to the owner.
