If you plan to skip town this weekend, a large influx of traffic is expected along the I-90 corridor with the Watershed Concert taking place at the Gorge. Troopers say lengthy delays are expected along I-90 near Vantage and over Snoqualmie Pass Friday through Sunday.

Trooper Brian Moore says they will be taking extra precautions to keep it safe including more patrols along the I-90 corridor. Troopers say they will be focused on impaired, aggressive and distracted drivers with the goal of zero deadly crashes.

The distracted driving law is now in place and the use of any hand-held electronic devices while driving is illegal.

Troopers will also be focusing on people who are not wearing seat belts which is required. The law also states all seats need to be taken before anyone can ride in the bed of their trucks, although that is also highly discouraged. But don't let the kids in the back, troopers add it is illegal to allow anyone under 16 to ride in the bed of a truck.

With the weather expected to be 100 degrees all weekend, drivers are also reminded to keep ample water in your vehicle in case of delays.
