Driver hurt, Grant County highway closed due to semi crash

A semi driver was taken to the hospital after state patrol troopers say he fell asleep behind the wheel and crashed.

Troopers say SR 243 near Vantage is now closed between SR 26 and Beverly Burke Road and could remain that way for the next 6 hours.

About 150 gallons of fuel has also leaked because of the wreak. Trooper Brian Moore tweeted Wednesday morning that because the driver fell asleep behind the wheel it is considered a form of distracted driving.
