Six Hanford workers report odors outside tank farm

Unknown vapors were detected outside the TX Farm at Hanford Wednesday afternoon.

The workers were preparing to perform electrical maintenance and were not in an area requiring the use of a supplied-air respirator.

None of the employees reported adverse symptoms and all six declined a precautionary medical evaluation.

All workers were instructed to leave the area, and officials with Washington River Protection Solutions say access to the area has been restricted.
