Semi crash closes down I-90 at Vantage Bridge for 7 hours

I-90 was was closed at the Vantage Bridge for about 7 hours Thursday, finally reopening just before midnight.

Washington State Patrol says a semi truck crashed on the Grant County side of the bridge at about 5:00pm, blocking traffic in both directions.

The driver had to be extricated through the vehicle's front window, and was treated for minor injuries.

The trailer ripped open when it crashed into the jersey barrier, spilling a load of apples across the road.

The barrier was badly damaged as a result of the collision.

Washington State Patrol is investigating.
