Schneider Springs Fire

Lightning passed through the Naches Ranger District Tuesday evening, igniting a fire in the Schneider Springs area 20 miles northwest of Naches.

Resources located the fire mid-day on August 4th burning in heavy timber, standing dead trees, and very steep terrain making it difficult for ground resources to access.

The fire is currently at 4-thousand acres and is 0% contained. Authorities expect full containment in October.
