Potato Truck Pandemonium
It took a joint effort from Franklin County and Pasco authorities to handle reports of reckless driving involving a potato truck. Police tried to stop the large truck with a spike strip at 395 and Karchner. The driver, 42-year old Zachary Bailie, lost a front tire but continued up 395 north to Foster Wells Road before heading back south on 395. The vehicle then caught fire over the Kartchner St overpass.
Bailie fled the vehicle, but was taken into custody shortly thereafter. He was suspected of being under the influence of drugs and was taken to Lourdes for medical clearance before being booked on multiple charges.
