KENNEWICK, Wash.-- Kennewick Police are looking for a man suspecting of assaulting a store employee at Fred Meyer Wednesday.


Officers responded to the Fred Meyer store on W. 10th Ave. at Highway 395 Wednesday at about 5:14 p.m., for a report of an assault.

Police say the shoplifting suspect has a tattoo on his right hand.

Store workers told investigators that a man was trying to leave the store with merchandise that he hadn't paid for, when a loss prevention officer confronted him. The suspect was able to get away with the merchandise after assaulting the loss prevention officer.


The suspect left in an unidentified vehicle and was not located.


Detectives say the suspect appears to have tattoos on the right side of his neck and his right hand.
