Richland Police were called out to a report of a shot fired on Cosmic Ln. just off of Spengler street just after 10:30pm Saturday.

Sgt. Kevin Berger told Newsradio 610 KONA that a man violated an order of protection by showing up at the home, threatened a woman with a handgun, then used the gun to smash a window on the victim's car while she was in it.

The man, identified as Bryan Ceballos, 28, fled the scene on foot, leaving his vehicle at the scene of the assault.

Kennewick Police responded to the scene with K9 Jucon in an effort to track Ceballos's location, but was unsuccessful.

Investigators were not able to confirm a neighbor's report that a single shot was fired a few units down from where the assault took place, possibly as the suspect fled.

Police are still searching for Ceballos, who is a convicted felon and prohibited from possessing a weapon. Investigators believe a dark colored SUV drove near the scene and picked him up shortly after the assault.

Caballos faces felony assault domestic violence charges.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call the Richland Police Department at 509-628-0333 or leave a tip through Tri-Cities Crime Stoppers.
