Pasco police sell pink patches for Breast Cancer Awareness month
Officers say they are the first agency in the state to partner with the Pink Patch Project, a fundraiser started by a California police department in 2015 for breast cancer awareness and research.
Pasco police posted on their Facebook page that their goal is to, "raise awareness and funds to assist with; cancer research, treatment, care for those who are currently battling, or are recovering from cancer."
The patches are $10.00 with half being donated to the Tri-Cities Cancer Center and the other half will be given to the Kadlec Foundation for Pediatric Oncology.
You can purchase the patches by visiting Etsy, send a check to the Pasco Police Officers Association at P.O. Box 822, Pasco, WA 99301, or keep an eye out for several locations the department will be selling the patches.
