Outlook man killed in rollover crash

GRANDVIEW, Wash.-- An Outlook man died and his passenger was hurt in a single-vehicle crash in Yakima County Monday night.

According to the Washington State Patrol the incident happened at about 10:00 p.m. when a 2001 Ford Excursion pulling a trailer lost control on I-82 near Grandview. The SUV went off the road and rolled down an embankment.

The driver, Peter Ortega, 71, Outlook, died at the scene. The passenger, Maria C. Ortega, 58, Sunnyside, was taken to Kadlec Regional Medical Center with unknown injuries.

Troopers say the car was driving too fast for conditions.
