SALEM, Ore. - The Oregon State House is set to vote next week on a bill to remove the graduation requirement that all high school students prove they are proficient in math, reading and writing in order to earn their diploma.

If if becomes law, updated graduation requirements could include setting different requirements for students who opt for a career in a technical field or in the fine arts.
