Officers investigating suspected arson truck fire

Witnesses say they saw two teens running away from the scene of a car fire, carrying a gas can early Sunday morning.

Kennewick police officers say they were called to the 700 block of N. Edison Street Sunday morning after witnesses reported the scene. Firefighters say they found a truck fully engulfed in flames and were able to contain the blaze to avoid it spreading to nearby structures. But the flames spread to a nearby field, burning about acre of brush. No one was hurt.

Officers say the vehicle had been reported stolen from the 2500 blk of W 4th Ave. about an hour before it was found on fire.

Police are still looking for suspects.
