One new member will join Pasco's city council on Monday.

Newly-elected Zahra Roach will take her oath of office at a special meeting Monday evening, though her term doesn't officially begin until January 1, 2020.

Franklin County District Court Judge Jerry Roach will administer the oath of office.

Zahra Roach was elected to one of the At Large positions on the city council, replacing long-time council member and Mayor Matt Watkins who did not run for re-election this year.

Watkins will be recognized for his years of service at Monday night's council meeting, following the swearing-in of Roach and re-elected council members Ruben Alvarado, District 2, and David Milne, District 5.

Monday's council meeting is scheduled to begin at 6 PM at Pasco's City Hall.
