Man jailed for kidnapping after motorist in Finley rescues victim

KENNEWICK, Wash.-- A 25-year old man was arrested Friday after Benton County Sheriff's Deputies say he forced a woman out of her home and into his car.

Investigators say the man and the victim live together, but he forced her into a car against her will Friday, then started driving around the Tri-Cities.

While driving through Finley, the woman managed to escape the vehicle and flag down a passing motorist who then stopped to help.

Armando Fernandez-Torres, 25, was booked into the Benton County Jail on charges of Kidnapping, and Domestic Assault.
