Man found hiding in Moses Lake treehouse after caught with stolen car

A 36-year-old is behind bars after Moses Lake police caught him trying to hide in a child's treehouse.

Police officers say they located a stolen car on the block of 4800 block of Airway Drive, just outside of the Moses Lake city limits. Officers say they noticed Antonio Silva in the car and when he saw officers he took off down the hill toward Cascade Valley.

Officers say on foot he ran through several backyards and was ultimately found hiding in a children’s treehouse. Silva was taken into custody on charges of possession of a stolen motor vehicle and theft second degree. Additional charges are expected pending the search warrant.
